Effectively, the Holocaust Didn't Happen
Holocaust Denial: A resident of Eastern Europe in 1942 , familar with what was happening there to the Jews, would not have believed the situation would be so good for Jews now (2006). Conversely, someone who is ignorant of the Holocaust can find it difficult to believe it happened since indeed in terms of the outcome as measured today it is almost as though the Holocaust didn't happen.
The Jewish people were weak and decreasing before WWII, and now they are strong and strengthening, and after only 60 years the Jewish population is almost already back to what it was. [This is reminiscent of the old joke, that poor downtrodden persecuted Jews of Eastern Europe would read anti-semitic newspapers. Why? As escapist literature, since it portrayed them as masters of the world, in control of world finance and industry!]
