Bringing our troops home: Outsourcing our War to the R.I.Ch. countries: Russia, India, CHina:

We can bring our troops home quickly by outsourcing our war on terror to Russia, India, CHina (the "R.I.Ch. countries")

All three have large Muslim minorities, and all have a problem with Muslim extremists and separatists. They border each other and don't all necessarily employ Western-liberal methods of dealing with these problems. They are growing powers with dynamic economies who are interested in carving out spheres of influence and being major players on the world stage.
Together they have about half the world's population and cover most of Asia. All three are fighting terorrist Muslim organizations seeking to pull off territory to create a Muslim country.

If the USA would take a low profile internationally, bring back all our troops from Europe, Korea, Japan and the Middle East, and some other personnel, and export a little bit less of our MTV-Hollywood-Liberalism-human-rights values and culture to the Middle East where it threatens local cultures and religious and politcal leaderships, perhaps the Global Jihad would see us as a less relevant enemy and turn their energies to RICh.

We could use the time beneficially to concentrate on our own welfare, creating a country which truly provides equal opportunity to all, improving education and health care, and finding economically viable alternative sources of energy. And if in the meantime this would for some reason result in a drop in our standard of living, well we could retrench a bit without starving; and if this would inevitably reduce us to a non-Super-Power, then that may not be so bad, after all Switzerland is insular and the Swiss seem happy not to be a superpower, and the Scandinavians are not exactly a super power and yet they seem relatively satisfied with their country.
